lose lose navy reserve

Study week is officially over and just yesterday, my lecturer gave us a new topic to cover...exam is next week. Woah so cruel la, last minute only he added a new topic...haiz...

I found out that the PALAPES LAUT in UiTM and UPM is much more luxurious than the PALAPES Laut in UM. Their watches (morning roll call every wednesdays) are counted as hours (get paid rm 4 per hour) while in UM all our hours are not counted as hours.
The highest my batch got is rm700 while for UiTM, the normal allowance they get is 2.4 K.
What a big difference!!
Furthermore in UM, we have so many trainings but it is rarely counted as hours but in other universities, ALL their activities are counted as hours.
In UM, Only official compulsory trainings like Annual Camp Training(ACT), Induksi camp (introduction for cadet) and Fizikal Orientated Mental Development Exercise training (FOMDEX) are counted as hours. When we have trainings in UM, about only 25% of trainings is counted as hours while we have to take out so much money to standardize everything  from pen to swimsuit.

It's a waste of money, I already got a swimsuit and they force me to fork out rm 125 for a ugly full body swimsuit...
Beside that. the Palapes Laut in UM are so smart, if you don't attend, they ask you to pay the hours...meaning, not only you don't get hours but you have to pay the hours...what kind of  logic is that?
it's like i am expected to pay money for one "shirt" which is compulsory and which by right i suppose to get free, and then because I paid, they ask me to pay again? Huh? I feel this is very dumb.

I mean if i don't attend training, by right i should have no hours (this is correct, there's no hours given)
then they ask us to pay hours back because I didn't attend training... (WHAT? firstly you didn't pay me for the hours and now you are asking me for something you didn't give me?)

I tell you, palapes laut in UM is a lose-lose situation, not only you spend so much but you spend more then you earn and they ask real nonsense requests.

Maybe PALAPES LAUT in other Uni is great but certainly not in UM.

less clash?

Ah, the newest news on the clashes. More clashes and more things sacrificed. Maybe to balance things up, i get to add new things in my schedule?

So Masum schedule was re-shuffled because a few games was taken out. Therefore causing softball and handball to be on the same time...Oh, opportunity cost...Bye Bye handball, I joined softball UM training since last sem already la. Latihan pusat bermula 29 Mei. Sukan MASUM bermula 18 - 30 June.

This meaning Hello Indonesia as my July is back since Softball is brought to June. Student exchange in Jogjakarta..but a few probs...student exchange maybe canceled due to lack of students participating in sports centre of UM...major contribution to the lack of interest might be money la...we have to pay 30% of flight tix and bring $ to buy extra food, token of appreciation for lecturers and shopping...

This student exchange program is only for sports center students but many of our seniors and course mates are holding back maybe because of the money factor?
Come on, Those who have full ptptn loan also barely have enough money to eat...class notes fee also hard to pay up...

sem break of clashes.

My 2nd semester is gonna end and  this marks the semester break of may to september :P but it's already full!
"opportunity cost" an economic term which means i'll have to sacrifice the second best alternative in order to choose the first best choice..meaning choose the best and let go of the others loh...

majlis sukan universiti-universiti malaysia (masum)
sukan malaysia (sukma)

i can't enter sukma softball team kl bcoz i'm in softball UM team which is preparing for masum. The masum training camp will be during sukma and right now is just 2 weeks away from our exam period, so i cant attend kl training also.
the age limit for sukma is 21, and this means this would have been my first and last year participating in sukma...Unfortunately everything is clashing!

Next clash is the student exchange program for UM sports centre students which is in the month of july and I will be having softball masum at that time :( A whole month of experiencing life in Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta at borobudur :'( gone because of masum!

i was planning to work so that i can go to Labuan 10's rugby in july but my june would be taken by masum handball.

My last exam paper is on the 9th of may and palapes training starts on 17th of may all the way to the end of may.

The choice (what i sacrificed)
so may exam n palapes (kl softball training, work)
jun handball (sukma softball, work)
july softball (student exchange)

at the moment, august is free and september marks the restart of my new semester aka 4th semester...I feel quite sad that i can never enter sukma because of exam, and time and masum.
I feel very sad that i can't go for student exchange during the semester break
I feel quite sad that i can't work so i can't go for Labuan 10's rugby tournament :(

CC trip to Klang n Pulau Ketam

On saturday, i had softball training but i went for the 11th residential college Chinese Community(CC) trip. We went to makan bak kut teh at Klang and Pulau Ketam to eat seafood. I know many people were surprised to find out that i chose the CC trip over a sport training. WHY? It's because it would be my last time being with my college CC as next year I would be changing to 5th college (I join PALAPES aka Reserve Navy ma), so i was quite sad that not many people went.

So anyway, we carpooled to Klang and yum yum, i love the rice, of cause the bak kut teh gravy was good but the rice is the highlight for me la...
After eating, we travelled to Port Klang ktm to park our car and a speed boat took us to visit a fishing area, left us there for 10 mins, then we sat on another boat to visit the fish reserve, and then we sat on another different boat to visit the 1st house in Pulau Ketam, btw it's 100 yrs old already...that's much older than Malaysia. After that we took the boat to pulau ketam jeti and had lunch then we had a tour under the rain and then after the rain stopped, we had 1 hour free and easy with a bicycle :)

The tour was in mandarin, but Dwei Wen accompanied me and sort of translated what the tour guide was saying. I really appreciate her thoughtfulness and kindness. She also shared her umbrella with me. Thank you very much Dwei Wen! Sayang sama kamu.

11th college Chinese Community that went for the trip, just missing cameraman in this pic. Klang Bak Kut Teh

how 2 bonus marks brought the highest to the 4th place.

My lecturer Dr Selina Khoo called me KIASU...LoLs, I never really considered myself kiasu before but I had stamped myself as being a super sore loser, I don't really accept losing gracefully.

Ok, now onto today's main topic...Sociology carry marks.
The weight is 20% for test, 20% for presentation and 20% for assignment. The remaining 40% is for the final exam.

I tried my best for the test and managed to score one of the highest score in my class.
Presentation is just not my strength as I don't really have people skill or communication skills. So, I was 3rd lowest in class. Well, at least I got more than half for presentation.
Assignment, we just passed it up and so we have to wait for it.

You see, on my own effort i got 33.5 over 40.
Suddenly today our lecturer said she will give bonus 2 marks for those who went to batu road school, which by the way was NOT compulsory nor did she state that bonus 2 marks would be allocated if we attend the batu road school pre-training!

So now from highest, I dropped down to 4th place because of the bonus 2 marks! Walauweh, macam ini pun boleh kah?

It's alright by S club 7
It's alright
You know it's gonna be alright
Oh yeah

You gotta understand now
Tomorrow is brighter day
The memories will fade away
And the sun will shine, on you

So many friends you get to make
So many hearts you get to break
So much love you gotta give
Your whole life's still left to live

Spread your wings and fly
Kiss the pain goodbye
Let the tears run dry
You gotta get yourself together

hectic week

Been having a hectic weekend...sleep at 2-3am and wake up at 7am. Falling asleep in classes and falling asleep on my laptop during assignment. Handball practise 8pm-1130pm...woah...my body is not getting enough rest. Not eating on time cause quite busy with the University life.

Yesterday i was So tired that i couldn't hear all my 3 alarms, went to a class late, wanted to set coundown reminder in 10 minutes but instead set it at 10 hours? Gosh, too exhausted already.

Realised that TNC is not the VC. Timbalan Naib Chancellor is the Deputy Vice Chancellor, not the Vice Chancellor. There are a few TNC's.

Realised that I'm not a good team player, I don't like making decision, I hurt people with my words, I'm quite of a last minute girl.

I put all the blame on myself and always thinking negatively of myself and low self esteem.Often don't trust myself. People can read me easily...i'm not good in hiding my emotions.

college dinner, bleep

Residential college dinner. Cheong sam and make up, high heels killed my toes.
Mascara is heavy la, my eyes lashes was feeling the weight and kept blinking..LOL. so my Muscles around the eye is not strong enough? haha. Here are some pictures:

Recently, one of my coursemate, Chuah Ming Zhe got injured...My other coursemate, Tor Phi Nn bought, belanja and delivered lunch for him but Nn said I was the one who belanja....Haiz? Why pull me in the picture?

I told you last week that i would go for another bleep test, The supplement were in 3 forms. One person only take 1 form of vitamin C. There were 1 vitamin C tablet or 5 imported oranges or 15 local mandarin oranges. Yeah, you didn't hear wrongly, it's 15! I took the 15 form...it was mentally tiring la, eating so many oranges in class. I felt full and felt like i was gonna vomit soon.
As a preparation I went to the bathroom 2 times before the bleep test to clear liquid in my body (I ate 15 mandarin oranges ma...)

During the bleep test, I ran till Level 8.9 then I felt like peeing. Told myself, at least improve 0.1 more then go. So I ran level 8.10 then my bladder just couldn't take it and I immediately rushed to the loo.

After the bleep test, my stomach felt pain like asthough someone was compressing my stomach aka pushing my whole stomach inside. Crazy la...Oh, my other coursemates who took 15 mandarin oranges also felt the pain...

Ok la, if we wanna sabotage anyone, make them eat 15 mandarin oranges then send them for a bleep test almost immediately after they finish eating it...LoL

One of my form 6 friend is gonna get married in May...woah, so fast. I would be able to travel to Kelantan if there's no PALAPES training la. But most probably there would be training.

PIPJ

i went for Um team handball practise cause my senior ask me to go.
after warming up and jogging, we had to do throwing aka passing drill. I never played handball before because in form 5 when my school just established the handball team, the teacher said i'm too old and thus didn't let me enter the club. Discrimination! LoL.
I did hold the handball ball before but don't know nuts about it.

A senior threw the ball to me, my left fingers went hyper-extension as the ball hit my fingers with a strong impact.
Gosh, my first session in handball and already injured? So my left index finger was swollen straight away, i endured the pain and continued the game.

Handball is definitely much more dangerous than rugby.
the game of handball looked easy but it was NOT easy laa.
3 steps before shooting and the jump on which foot if you want to shoot with which hand. Walauweh, soo complicated leh.

Iced it but still swollen. Pain la dei. Tues 9.30pm ish kena, but friday still swollen.
So Friday 11 am-ish, I went to university hospital sports clinic...the nurse said sports clinic closes in the afternoon, next time come at 9am, it opens at 8am.
doctor checked me then sent me for an x-ray, then the doctor examined the pain and sent me for a scan.
apparently i have a PIPJ injury aka Proximal Inter Pharyngeal Joint injury. It's between the 2nd and 3rd bone.
so yeah, dr said I should rest 6 weeks from hand sports. If I am stubborn and still do sports, he threaten to cement my whole left arm.  I must go and see dr every 2 weeks. He placed a splint on finger. It's 30 degrees. On my next appointment it will be 20 degrees for 2 weeks and then 10 degrees for 2 weeks then ok gua.

Aiyah, how to qualify for Masum? MAjlis Sukan Universiti Malaysia...it's inter uni sports.

lousy me

Ok, so I've been reflecting and you know what? I came into realization that I am a really horrid girl.
Really rude and always talking before thinking thus saying hurtful things and causing grief to people around me. Lousy me...
I'm always sarcastic and arrogant and lame.
Too many sorrows i have brought into the lives of people around me. I wanna say I'm sorry, will try to control myself. Need to change. Need to be aware that others have feelings too.

proverbs 17:28 Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent, and discerning if they hold their tongues.

james 1:26  Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless.

Yeah, so words can really hurt people. Did you know that in singapore, verbal abuse is just as horrific as domestic violence.

Ads from the Aware Helpline in Singapore showing that domestic violence include verbal abuse also.
Their tag line: Verbal abuse can be just as horrific. But you don’t have to suffer in silence

EPL, bleep n shooting

harlo,
i'm sure some of you thought i abandoned my blog...Nope, that wasn't the case.
What happened was that my laptop went for a repair and since it's still under warranty, so i didn't have to pay the "hospital fee' :) It just checked out from the hospital yesterday night.

well, many things were going on and it was kind of hard to blog cause the sports centre computer lab was closed or i don't like blogging on the computer in the library.

I started joining Mr Lian's Bible study class on Tues Nights. Mr Lian was Francis Dunn's sifu, so the style is quite similar. Mr Lian got annoyed with me and said I got a crook mind as in I keep finding loop holes and think too much, I make simple things complicated. He said I should try to understand what he is saying rather than looking for faults and loop holes. He told me, this habit might get me into trouble. The questions I ask are usually real as in I really don't know mah, but people think I'm trying to be funny or keep challenging people, people might also think i'm irritating and because of me the teachers are just at the sidelines and not getting any chance to enter the main topic or syllabus. One thing i admire about Mr Lian is that he is straight to the point, not afraid to say things church keep taboo. Maybe a bit like John the Baptist.

Yeap, I think too much...this is not GOOD. It's our Asian Culture to just accept words that comes out from elder people as a sign of respect. I'm rude when I challenge the belief system or think too much or ask questions. Haiya, Hilda Hew Mun Foong, you gotta stop thinking too much ok....

Volunteering in the EPL masters football was kind of exhausting and really a bad experience, not just for me but for other UM volunteers too. I never knew Malaysians can be so rude, stubborn and really OKU, they have brains but refuse to think, eyes and ears but choose not to obey the rules...I am Really sad and ashamed that these are my fellow countrymen and this is how they behaved.  Much shocking was the guards who just watched me enforcing the law but did not do anything to help me, instead they just told me, think of your safety first, just let those stubborn thugs in. Come on, they are  GUARDS but they advised me this kind of things? I really felt disappointed and lost my confidence in security guards.

Bleep test again :)
level 8.9, I could go on but no mental strength.
history of my bleep tests:
My first bleep test result was  level 5.7 during rugby training
2nd bleep test during UM interview for sports management course was level 6.6
3rd bleep test for rugby national team to the qualifying round to Asian Games at Guangzhou 2010, level 8.3
4th, program Wellness by Pusat Sukan UM...for fun and fitness...level 8.3 again! :'(
so this is my 5th, exercise pre-test for senior. Level 8.9

there will be one more bleep test next week, we'll take vitamin c then do the bleep test as the senior wanted to find out the correlation between vitamin c and bleep test. So stay tuned next week for my next bleep test result ya...

assignments were piling up and presentations were really filling up our whole schedules.

Oh ya, did I mention that we got our reserve soldier number already? So, last week we had shooting exposure, we used vector pistol, glock  17 pistol, m16 and aug steyr. The guns are really heavy. Pistols weigh about 2 kgs while the aug steyr a1 weight almost 4kg, the m16 weight about 3kg, all these weight are without the bullets...wah, heavy. The sound that comes out when the trigger is pulled is so loud and deafening. It's louder than fire crackers, like asthough a fire crackers right next to your ears...the force after the gun is fired is quite strong also. The AUG stands for Army Universal Gun. It was heavy but the binocular scope gave good accurate shots. M16 was lighter but harder to focus on as there was no telescope.
m16
aug steyr a1. exactly the one we used

glock 17

vector pistol

yeah, another thing that happened was Swee Kit taking me out for lunch, it's part of her job scope to meet up with students and encourage them in their spiritual walk. I wasn't expecting that though.

Everyone said i grew thinner and thus lost my broad shoulders that i don't look like an athlete anymore...

A friend of mine said losing weight because of stress can be distinguished from losing weight because of dieting. Then she asked me what is happening because it looks like I am losing wight because of stress?

What to do? I got high metabolism, My food not balanced diet, sometimes no appetite to eat but when i eat i gobble up huge amounts of food. Plus I'm an endurance athlete so it is hard to be huge as my output is more than my input...

muthuku muthaga is a family movie, really nice ending. I think it's a great show. It's a tamil movie and can be watched at Lotus 5 star cinema, PJ or Sentul Cineplax. There are subtitles but the subtitles are not clearly visible and not always showed but just by watching the characters, one can know what is going on.

alright, that's kind of enough for now right? ; D

blacks b.

I got another haircut because of Cut-athon...it was as Sunway Pyramid orange concourse. It looked happening, about 20 hair stylist on the go, I had a handsome hairstylist but he wasn't really pro. He said my hair's too short for a boy cut? LoL, then he said he never thought doing a boy cut on a girl is so tough (shows that he never did a boy cut on a girl before), he didn't cut properly as there was a spot he missed...LoL. Still think it's ugly.
He didn't want to give me a shorter hair cut...oh, well, whatever la...if i could, i would just go Britney spears and shave it all...kakaka.

rights, last Saturday we had a rugby match with Singapore's Blacks B...
It was our first home ground game, the first time we had a full complete team. We were all pumped and hyped up, really looking forward to this game.
Rain, rain, rain but we still played. After their kick off, we had a penalty and i was so ready to run if Bibi decides to pass the ball to me...aiyak, only 3 minutes but it started thundering and lightning flashed across the sky.
The game was stopped while we were doing great.

Waited for the rain to stop, then at least it went to drizzling only and so we continued on...not knowing that it's only gonna be a one half game, Dingoes paced herself...It was nice to play in their territory, Blacks liked to kick. Tiara had a cat-fight with one of the blacks...a Blacks girl pulled Tiara's hair...Aiyak, menjatuhkan rugby's image la.
we played 45 minutes then found out that the game was over as Blacks had a plane to catch...Wah, like that also can? Ish, we were so pumped up tau...one half only? Ish, rain ar, why la you kacau us? see, see, we draw with Blacks B...I think there was a chance of us scoring in the second half, but we'll never know.
Aki did a great penetration when we did bola 2 move....
forwards did a great job,
back-line performed good set piece.

I was a bit confused in this game. At the beginning, coach Mamak said to do close defense so don't care about the wing. Just before the game started, coach Mamak said to do zone defense so care about the winger. during the game, Aki asked me to watch their number 8 in defense. On thurday during training, coach Mamak said watch Aki, if she goes up then I as a blind winger should fill in her position.
Aiyak, so what i wanna do? Go zone? Go Close? Go for number 8? watch Aki if she decides to do a move?
Oh wait, This is silly, i should only watch Aki if we got the ball...LoL. Therefore 3 options only.
I kept asking Aki who to defend? Wei said i put too much pressure on Aki that's why Aki couldn't perform well.

Aiyah, I gotta learn how to read  the game and make my own decisions...

anyway, this marks the end of the Singapore league...

asgnmt n presentation time of d year

It has come to that time of the semester where everyone is busy and stressed. Nope, not the exam yet, but it's the assignment and presentation week with a sprinkle of mid term test.

Arh, what a stressful time, being in the same group with people who say "Ok, no prob, I can do it" but ending up not doing anything? How stressful it is to be in the same group with people who give up, they say "I don't know how to do it, so ask someone else to do" or those who say "I don't know how to use a computer" or "I don't have a computer".

reluctant team mates who just prefer to be free riders...
Whoa, Life is so WONDERFUL for them.
It's all because lecturers don't want to mark so many assignments so they give group assignments.
Well, that's life...you gotta learn how to work with people from various character.
It all comes down to the art of Management: The art of getting something done with and through people.
Keeping your cool and being patient otherwise you'll get neck pain and back pain. Stress affects your sternocleidomastoid muscles which gives neck pain and then when the stress builds up, the pain will go down to your back and thus having a back pain.

Be cool, relax, chill and try your best to not hit someone and try to avoid swearing XP

where did you go? I miss you and need you to do my assignment..

my laptop has gone for an operation...the screen is like a tv with a bad ariel, jumping up and down the screen like a hyperactive person.
My pen drive has gone missing, how am i gonna get my assignment done now? laptop and pendrive, now i realize how important you two are for assignments!

On Saturday we went to Singapore for the match against Blacks A.
As usual, I'm a winger forever, i guess this game is the game I ran a lot but didn't do much though...felt like i ran everywhere and wasn't really playing by my position.
In this game I ran from one side of the field to the other just to close the gap.
Each time i marked their winger, their outside-center would kick the ball and i would be too slow to follow the ball. I need to learn how to look up and see the game instead of eying the ball only.
As usual, it's my weakness that I can't tackle properly resulting opposition scoring a try.
I don't quite remember what i did, but my team mates said I blow-over...did I?
I got the ball twice but didn't manage to go far. I must learn how to find gaps. When I had the ball, I wanted to pump my feet but my support told me to go down because the ball was in danger.

Well, the referee was kayu la, the opposition didn't ground the ball, the ball was on top her body, how can that be called a try? There were other instances where the referee gave bad calls repeatedly...Gawsh, Kayu Betul la.

After the game, the coaches and our captain and another senior player completely abandoned us...Thank God, there was still Becks and Zet or not it would be all the Old Timers aka Superstars or top management completely left us to fend by our self...

Lena Kula got lost so many times, But managed to find our way back...I guess that just wasn't our day.
Police doing road block on the highway? Wow, first time i encountered that.

this picture was from our first game at Republic Polytechnic, the start of singapore 15s league.

read the rules finish then click I ACCEPT/UNDERSTAND
then general candidate list...no picture, just names and number...aiyo, how la? i thought vote for 1 only, rupa-rupanya vote for 9 candicates...haiz...so i only vote for 7...minumum 1 candidate, maximum 9 candidate... The lime limit was crazy loh...Feel stressed by the time limit...felt like doing a test, KM test with time limit. Click DONE.
Done..my faculty got no election so i only can vote for general. Walk out, take food coupon which entitled me for a hotdog.
Apparently in college 12, they got a RM5 coupon, can buy whatever food or drink they want...LOLS.

results out at 6.30pm...i had test so couldn't join the action.
official result out about 9pm...

Pro M won all 9 general seats and the margin was 4000, woah!
if i'm not mistaken 80% of the faculty seats was won by Pro Mahasiswa.

quite cool...
oh, by the way, Did I miss out the story of death threats and disappearance of a candidate?
http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2011/2/21/nation/8105542&sec=nation
http://www.bernama.com/bernama/v5/newsgeneral.php?id=565230

Oh, also apparently last night, there was some protest or mogok...i didn't know about it cause i was busy studying for my CPR practical test and my health & fitness test...chap 1 to chap 10...Aiya, what a wrong time to have tests, how i wanna join the action and politics? :P

the elections are held every year...that means once in 2 sem.
Last semester the leadership was held by Penggerak Mahasiswa, this sem and next sem will be Pro Mahasiswa, so let's see the difference. Compare and contrast, see and experience which party did better? To be fair, just measure by a semester only because I only "tasted" one semester from Penggerak's side and it was the 2nd part of the year only that i experienced, meaning they had the sem before i entered Uni to be established so on my 3rd sem only will i start comparing the difference...give them a sem's time to get established first.

who knows maybe the next election will be won by independents fully..haha

the question i ask is, will the candidates bring about changes or is it a joke? Is the Uni making students think the students are in control...Can they bring their manifesto into reality?

To all my stpm friends who got their results today...it's just a piece of paper, another exam result in your life...it's not the end of the world yet, there are many more chapters of your life to be written. I'm sure you know that STPM results is the end of the road but it is the beginning of a new phase in life...for those on the path of tertiary education, life will be totally different, say bye bye to tuitions..hehe.

politic in UM elections

As some of you know, It's the UM election time now...I'm sure you saw the news on Star newspaper and NTV 7 night news...Students damaging the door of Kompleks PerdanaSiswa, Mainly it's because of the disqualification of 8 candidates...
for more info on the door incident, read:
http://thestar.com.my/education/story.asp?file=/2011/2/20/education/8097795&sec=education
http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2011/2/17/nation/20110217182122&sec=nation
http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2011/2/18/nation/8091918&sec=nation

The pro-Mahasiswa team is known to be anti-establishment while its rivals known as Penggerak Mahasiswa is pro-establishment.

Protesting against the disqualification of eight candidates – including two independents – pro-Mahasiswa students organised a rally outside PROF Datuk Dr Rohana Yusof's office [the deputy vice-chancellor  student affairs and alumni at Universiti Malaya] at the Perdanasiswa complex, demanding the reinstatement of the candidates.

e-voting, e-nominations, e-appeals and e-objections...not credible la...

e-voting is a controversial issue before and it still is in UM, It was introduced in 2009/2010 without discussion or agreement nor democratic .

our votes are no longer kept secret and no one know for sure if the system is fair...as there had been 4 cases where the credibility of e-voting is questioned. 1st case: a few series of disturbance on the computer voting system at several places...what happened during these disturbance, was the voting tempered?

2nd case: computer position where others can see your vote

3rd case: computer positioned near guards which disturbed voters and made them uncomfortable

4th case: Wrongful information about voters in the system which made several voters not eligible to vote and the missing information on several qualified voters thus they also not qualified to vote anywhere.

Discussions and explanation from anti-establishment party were denied ruthlessly. Haish, University authorities also not fair one...ish ish ish...7 Candidates who won already was disqualified...wah, What's the use of the election then?

Ugly SPIT and rumours and the use of religion to spoil other candidate's reputation...exactly like in MALYAYSIAN POLITICS...smear people's name and image. Anti-establishment party used this type of approach to win votes? Haish, i'm so disappointed...

you see the words they said "Sanggupkah anda selaku mahasiswa islam menyokong calon begini?" and "mana letaknya ISLAM pada mereka? ISLAMkah anda yang mahu menyokong calon sekular begini?"

wah, so teruk la, campaign until like this!

anyways, tomorrow is the voting day and tomorrow also i got 2 tests to sit for...I'm not gonna vote by party...Vote by manifesto and qualifications and credibility lor...

One faculty candidate and one general candidate.

Woah, campaigning really takes up a lot of money...banner, poster, rafia string, cello-tape. the betting money....crazy! all ptptn money gone to waste...hope they recycle their papers after the election...it created a lot of rubbish everywhere.

I wish they had a big board which all the candidate post they manifesto but one A4 size poster a candidate only...at least in this way, it's not a popularity win but a win by what they are fighting or standing up for.

chap goh mei

We celebrate CNY for 15 days...today is CHAP GOH MEI. The last day of the celebration. Every chap goh mei marks the first full moon of the year :)
There is a tradition where young single ladies will go and throw oranges into the sea, river or from on top the bridge and with the hope of finding their true love. PS: If you are thinking of doing this, don't forget to Write your name and hp number or email on the orange...haha.

All the single boys waiting for the throw...

Recently my mom has been asking me if I got anything for Valentines...even today...Then only I ter-remember this tradition which is on chap goh mei...haha XD
So to all you people, I know I'm 21 years old already but I won't throw any oranges into any river, sea, from a bridge just yet...I wanna concentrate on my studies and only after my degree will I start thinking of throwing an orange..LoL.

start of Spore 15s League

Last saturday was the beginning of the singapore rugby 15s league.
so there's gonna be a match every saturday till 12 march...home and away.
our first game was against Bucks and the match was at Republic Polytechnic, woodlands, singapore.
Initially the weather was quite thundering so we thought we might not be able to play at all!
Oh ya, Apai was the only "tour virgin"...she wasn't really treated as a tour virgin though.

Anyways, we started the game at 5.30pm and the rain had almost subsided.
This is my first time playing as a Outside Center, usually i play winger. Most of the back line played new positions so it was a new experience for all of us. It was a bit more pressuring to be a Outside Center because there is more responsibility compared to a winger's job. Next, no longer do I stay at the wing, but now i'm in the center of the field and there's more ball action aka more pressure.

I got scolding from Wei for not knowing when, where and how to guard dog. I wasn't aware when to realign and when to be in a straight line. Besides that, Wei told me not to mark people during guard dog cause i should close the gap first! Wei also reminded me many times on the field how to rush up in a line when we are in defense...it took me about the whole 1st half of the game to instill it in my brain that i must run outside shoulders to avoid the opponents from passing the ball.
first half ended with 3-0, Bucks scored a penalty goal.

when I received the ball from Bibi after she looped, i guess i wasn't deep enough so i couldn't run all the way in front of the forwards, instead I got stuck behind the forwards...yikes...

I mistackled 2x and that cause Bucks to score 2 tries..My fault! Ish, i must really learn how to tackle la.

Bucks score 3 tries altogether, converted 2 goals in the second half. Thus ending the game with a score of 22-0.

This is the first time we played all locals only in our team.

Apai did very good on her first game...Hani did a great job too.
Halina managed to throw straight balls in every line out. Overall, I think it was a good game and everyone did their best.

feb

FEDERAL TERRITORY DAY! Feb 1st... new anthem which has a much faster beat but I still prefer the original song.

CNY! Ever since my grandparents died, it has been my family tradition to go up to Genting Highlands on Chinese New Year eve...

When I was younger, I liked the arcade games but now I feel a bit bored of arcade games already la.
So, what to do then? I'm still under aged to enter the casino so what me and my siblings usually do is go to any shop like coffeebean or starbucks then the eldest buy drinks for us then we chat and reconnect. Mini Reunion.
The journey to Genting and coming back from Genting Highland itself is fun...we'll be joking, making fun, solving riddles and telling interesting experiences in their lives..

Owh, ALL my SIBLINGS are BACK this year! SABAH, JOHOR, MELAKA & KL.
I also think This is the first time my siblings and my mom slept in the same room...that's 6 person in a room...cool!
This year people whom i didn't expect sms-ed me to wish me HAPPY BIRTHDAY...
"u kan my friends..I akan ingat birthday kawan-kawan I"
Whoa, feel so terharu.

And by the way, YES, i did hide my birthday in FB...Why do you wanna know when is my birthday when I don't even remember when's yours? I don't even bother to remember la.

I went to Ms Wong's (my form 6 MUET teacher) house today...met a lot of current form 6 who knew me...Why bother remembering me when I myself don't bother to know your name also?

Owh well, There's not much to say about February.

fulfill ur bet day

Ok, I went to the optician, he said can't really do anything about the light disturbance. At the moment, I do not need a specs yet unless I feel eye strain or watery eyes or headaches...Nah, I don't feel none of those yet. So check my eyes again after a year loh. Really glad that I don't need specs cause firstly it cost money, secondly it kinda spoils my image and thirdly it would be tough doing sports with spectacles on.

Lonely Spectacles, LoL

I only have a few more days to fool around cause after this, I would officially be an adult! Oh Gosh, 21 years old this year. I guess I gotta start acting like 21 and stop behaving so childish and immature. Be a women of little words and stop playing around with words? Stop Lame Jokes? Bullying and sarcasm are another part of my life that may need to be demolished soon...

Today, I made Robin Hood aka Chandrakumar, a 11 years old boy fulfill the bet which he lost! For those who didn't know, ROBIN and I made a bet before I started University life: Whoever fails any subject, test, exam, quiz will have to RUN up and down the JALAN JEJAWI ten times non stop. Ten times each fail, so if I fail 2 exams and 1 quiz then I will have to run 30x non stop. At the moment, the bet will last till 2014.
Robin failed his music exam last year and so today he had to fulfill the bet aka face the punishment.

Background info on Robin Hood, he is a straight A student, quite brilliant but lazy to study. Only concentrates on IMPORTANT subjects, confident he will never fail in education.
