few more stories

On the same day where the Rice Rice story took place, a few other stories also existed. All because My Mom called me into the kitchen. This just goes to proof how much I dislike kitchen work. Can you see the anti-ness of cooking though the stories?

Forget the fact that you Know Famous Hilda Hew Mun Foong,
Forget the fact that you Know that I am in the Kitchen,
Just pretend you are listening to a story...like a camp fire story :)

Another Story...
I took the dead animals from the freezer and splashed water on them. Drown them in water and bang them till they no longer stuck to each other(was Frozen ma). Then I executed the already dead defrosted animals by pulling, twisting and plucking out their heads from their bodies! Oh, the cruelty of beheading them with my bare hands. It wasn't bloody but I think their brains ooze out. Yuck!

I hold part of their legs and twisted it away and in the process of plucking out the leg, I took off its skin aka the shell. The skin did not come out easily and usually came off in fragments and parts. When I reach the last few sections of the shell to pull out, I would take hold of the tail and pull out the whole thing! The skin/shell would follow the tail.

Wash them, pour salt and pepper and then molest(mix) the animals, salt and pepper together. Poor Prawns.

The Next story!
Out of the freezer. Ran water on it and hit it to break it up. These creatures were bigger. After separating them, I flushed water into its body and then rinsed it. Down onto the torture board it was placed. A large butcher knife punctured the skin. The body aka flesh was slashed 3 to 4 times all the way to the bone and then turned onto the other side and Deja Vu. Scars on the animal's body...Fishy Fish Fish with deep scars!

The Following Story...
The 3rd creature also suffered the same fate. Out of the freezer and under the waterfall. Bang until separated and drown in water. Placed on the execution board. This time, the butcher knife didn't just injure it like it injured Mr and Miss Fish but instead it was raised high and thump with such a fast and heavy but accurate swing and the 3rd creature was sliced unmercifully and really barbarically with such skills and within moments the 3rd creature was now in many parts...Poor chicken thighs...

The Final stories.
Mrs Cabbage suffered a similar fate as Mr Chicken Thighs. Mrs Cabbage was taken out of the fridge and under the waterfall. Peeled by her huge petals into a few parts and then cut into smaller sections..

Onion Girl and her best friend Garlic Boy were not excused from the horrible fate too. Torn away from their family, they was rinsed and painfully peeled aka DE-skinned and then chopped unmercifully finely into uncountable pieces.

ok, so here's the rice rice story la

SOrry for the long drought ya...was growing lazy.
So, here's the Rice Rice story which I promised...bear with my lack of story-telling skills. A series of unfortunate events.

Rice and his family lived in a world of total darkness. They felt very safe when it was dark, every time there was a glimpse of light, everyone would run for safety for the scary giant hand would bring in the light and that hand would be holding the temporary prison container which scoops all anyone and everyone who was in its way.

One fine day, Rice was out with his friends and they were having so much fun playing together. Suddenly, a light shone and a great hand holding the temporary prison container...This time, Rice was unlucky for he realised it too late and was scooped up. Rice didn't even stand a chance. Rice tried to bribe but it was in vain. The Container was just doing it's job. Rice was with his friends and he told them that it was an honor to die in their company.

All of them were thrown into the Big Pot and it started raining. The rain was so heavy that it turned into flood and didn't stop till everyone was under the water. Then a whirlwind came and they were pushed around violently. The big dreadful hand sometimes caused a hurricane and Rice looked helplessly as some of his friends were thrown upwards and then they fall back hard onto the pot.

Then the flood stopped very quick and the Big Pot was tilted to one side and this caused the water to flow outside the pot thus lessening the water. Just as they began to give a sigh of relief, the whole disaster happened once more! Tsunami, whirlwind, and water disasters. Then the water suddenly stopped and the water was flowing out of the Big Pot until it was almost no more. Later, it started to drizzle and then rain and the water rise 2 meters above Rice and his friends and the rain stopped. They were buried under the water.

Then the ground of Big Pot shook as if there was an earthquake but without the ground splitting. Then Rice heard a loud thunder clap. Next, the ground started to get hot...the heat was rising and not stopping. Rice and his friends drank water(the process of drowning mah) and were soon bloated. The heat made Rice and his friends sticky...

Tadaa...Rice! Nasi! Beras!

Background: My Mom said I must learn how to boil rice ma...so, after the process of actually learning how to menanak nasi, I told my mother the Rice Rice story!

My Mom got annoyed after I told her this story. She said "Rice don't have feelings ok?"

Squash

source: http://www.myhimagazine.com/sports/squash-the-healthiest-sport/

Squash; the Healthiest Sport

Ali Auta

Squash is an indoor racquet sport that is played by two or four players in a four-walled court with a small, hollow rubber ball. Squash is a fast-moving and high-impact sport that provides an excellent cardiovascular workout but can place strain on the joints, especially the knees.

Squash may not have the sophisticated ring to it as its counterparts like tennis or racquetball, squash sounds well- to me it sounds more edible than playable. But according to Forbes magazine, squash — the game — is the healthiest sport an individual can undertake — better than rowing, rock climbing, swimming, cross country skiing or basketball, all runners-up in the scheme of fitness.

Note taking into cognizance is the sheer fun of standing inside a room almost the size of a large bedroom and hitting a little ball as hard as is physically possible.

Squash is a game that can be played at any age. It is easy to learn and there are modified games and equipments to suite every size and skill level. It is a game that can be played for leisure or for competitive purposes.

Squash is a strenuous sport in which a player can use a lot more energy than most other sports. Squash helps to:

  • Improve cardiovascular health; a game of squash will see you running, leaping and diving for the ball.
  • Increase strength and fitness
  • Maintain a healthy weight
  • Increase flexibility and strength in the back
  • Increase coordination, agility and flexibility
  • Build hand-eye coordination

Other benefits of squash include:

  • Improves general and psychological wellbeing
  • Greater self confidence and self esteem
  • Better social skills and opportunity to make new friends
  • Improves concentration
  • Stress release
  • All weather activity- as it is an indoor sport; weather condition does not stop you from playing it.

Getting Started

Squash is a high-impact and very strenuous sport. As it also involves a lot of energy, with frequent stopping and starting, it is important to follow these safety tips:

  • See your doctor for a check-up if you have a medical condition, are overweight, are over 40 years of age or haven’t exercised for a long time.
  • Don’t play if you have a heart condition.
  • Always wear protective eyewear.
  • Wear purpose-designed squash shoes or indoor court shoes to ensure appropriate grip on the floor and stability to protect your ankles.
  • Do warm-ups before you begin to play.
  • Ensure you have shoes with good ankle support.
  • Drink plenty of water before, during and after playing.
  • Do cool-down exercises after you finish your game.
  • Don’t push yourself too far or too fast, especially if you are a beginner.

Playing squash is as simple and short as this write so what are you waiting for? If I were you I will go out there and SQUASH THE SQAUSH. Remember you are a CHAMPION!

change

hey! Not really that pathetic la...Today as I pondered about the previous post, Going to church on Thursday nights for Young Adults(YA), Friday afternoons for Christian Fellowship(CF), Saturday evenings for Youth Fellowship(YF) and Sunday evenings for Kids' Church.
The question is: Why do I do it?
Answer: Gratitude for the way He transformed me.

You see, before I was a Christian, I was a really naughty person la. When I was in primary school at Standard 4 I used to bully standard 5 and 6 students...I was like one of the discipline problem kid.
When I entered Secondary school I grew much worse la. I spat on the face of people I don't like, besides that, I would simply hit people and purposely look for trouble.

Now I am changed la..Not dramatically changed but less aggressive than before la. Much different from who I was before la.

I was born in a Buddhist family, later on ceased to believe in God's existence therefore becoming an Atheist. “There is no such thing as god!” I told myself. As days passed by, I felt lonely and life lost its meaning. Soon this loneliness evolved into depression. Then I tried suicide, But I didn’t die… I was quite disappointed when I found myself alive the next day. This period of atheists was/is the darkest period of my life. Worst experience, painful emotionally and mentally.

I thought by bullying and making other people's life miserable, it would make me feel better but I was wrong...

I went to Bangsar gospel Centre's YF camp in DEC 2004 and it was there where I found my God. The teacher/speaker…Roshan…shared on how God has been working/providing in his life… he shared how faithful God was. Then it hit me, “Hey,There cannot be so many coincidences in his life! There’s such thing as God lah! This is the proof (Roshan’s sharing) this is ‘the GOD’” I invited Jesus/God into my life. After that, I felt there were no more emptiness/ loneliness in me. I felt life has found its meaning again. I felt something was different. No more dark stormy cloud in me but a completely new feeling in me. Ever since that day, I never felt lonely ever again.

I didn't become a Christian because of the gospel but I came a Christian because I heard that this God is not a god who is so far away and that this God is real and evidently working in people's life.

"Till by faith I met HIM face to face And I felt the wonder of HIS grace Then I knew that HE was more Than just a GOD who didn't care, Who lived away out there, and Now He walks beside me day by day Ever watching over me lest I stray Helping me to find that narrow way HE's everything to me." Singapore 7s

ok la... I blog about the Singapore 7s first k :P
RSC Dingoes played in the Guinness National Singapore (Ladies) Sevens on the 30th January 2010 with 6 other teams competing.

Results:
Drew with Singapore Recreation Club 12-12
Beat National University Singapore 5-0
Lost to Blacks B 00-12
Beat Bucks B 21-10
Beat National University Singapore 10-7 (Bowl Final)

Overall, we won 3 games, lost 1 and drew 1

Cup winners: BLACKS A
Plate winners: SRC
Bowl winners: RSC Dingoes

Cup means 1st n 2nd, Plate is 3rd n 4th, bowl is 5th and 6th position la..Yeah meaning we got 5th place la out of 7 teams.

I was a utility player la...means I can play any position la. Substitute player la...hehe

I played winger, hooker and flanker :) Great experience. I also got tackled la...hit my head 3 times...pain lah but not injured :>My feet is not touching the ground..hehe, I'm flying!

Winger means i play at the side la. Hooker means I was the middle person in the scrum where the prop hook on to me and when it's our scrum I hook the ball...This is a scrum and it was our scrum la. I am not in this pic but it's the RSC Dingoes la.

This is a line outs but Tiara is the Flanker in this pic.

Flanker means during line outs, I get carried la(i think)

Aiyoh, once again the same question was directed to me but by another coach..Coach Jef asked me, "Hilda, you like boys or you like girls?"
Haiz...I just said, "Both also don't want can ar? Girl also don't want, boy also don't want!"

Back to ISKL Ampang!

Football and Rugby is a Team Sports!

I'm sure some of u are dying to know what happened today right? Haha, so perasan la.
ISKL ampang, Touch rugby...err, we lost...Versus the International Schools la (ISKL[international skool of KL], MKIS[mont kiara international skool], KLASS[KL alice smith skool]), It's not that bad la, but I was like so blur all the way! Maklumlah, it was my first time playing touch rugby tournament...Dingoes is a Contact Rugby team ma.

It was fun going back to ISKL...It brought back memories...the last time I went to ISKL ampang was somewhere when I was 13 years old...I played for the KL Women's Football team and our competition was there...it was the Piala Tunku Najihah, Kejohanan Bola Sepak Wanita Kebangsaan Pelajar-Pelajar Sekolah Bawah 18 tahun yang ke-6, September 2003.
I remember each training we went we got RM3 and each game we played we got RM 15 and each game we win we get RM30...woah! It was fun...I also remembered the Malaysian team lost terrible to ISKL's ladies football team..If I remember correctly it was 11-1. Woah! I also remember that the 2 opponent girls running and aimed for my leg and injured me, I also remember my first time scoring an own goal! I also It was also my first time line dancing.
It was also through the KL women football team that I first time went to RSC as we had a friendly game there. I remember that a guy invited me to join the RSC football team la but I declined...

Quite cool la...ISKL and RSC...both started with KL Women Football and then later on the second time to ISKL n RSC was also a cool sports-->RUGBY!

By the way, Dingoes is just the RSC club la, but when we versus other country baru we jadi wakil Malaysia la.

Ayah

A man came home from work and his children ran to him and called out ‘Ayah! Ayah!’.
His neighbor got very upset and said to him, “Can you please tell your children not to call you ‘Ayah’?”

The man asked, “Why?”

The neighbor retorted, “Because my children call me 'Ayah' too. They might get confused and mistake you to be their father.”

Then the man told his neighbour, "are you not ashamed to say that your children do not know who is their 'Ayah' is? So by using the word 'Ayah' , your children will call me Ayah without knowing who is their actual father is?"

The neighbour said "that is how they refer to me only."

The man said, "then there is something wrong in how you are teaching your children. They are not sure who their 'Ayah' is."

Peace, out!

Holiday makes me hungry!

OK ppl, I'm sure you were wondering for a while, "Is the blog dead?"...NOOOOOOOOOoo, It is not! Erm, Recently my father discovered the wonders of YOUTUBE...so now, I got to share the computer with Prince, my father and Me! Oh no...susah la! But I'll live..haha.

Holidays make me hungrier than usual...did you know that? Hehe, The reason is because there's no homework or assignment or revision or studing in my current life la...SO carefree, and therefore I have more time to think, "What to makan ar? I think I'm hungry la"...haha, Logical or not?

Lemme tell you how me routine has been thus far in 2010:
my week starts on a MOnday! NOthing much...watch Tv
Tuesday! evening 5.30pm-8pm RUGBY :P
Wednesday! Nothing much...watch Tv
Thursday! Rugby at 5.30pm-8pm, Young Adults(YA) bible study at 9pm-10.30pm
Friday! Christian Fellowship(CF...SMBB's one la..haha) at 2pm-3.30pm
Saturday! quite pack la. Morning usually rugby related. Evening 4pm to dinner is Youth Fellowship(YF).
Sunday!Busy also. Morning church. Evening 3pm-6pm I'm a helper at Kids' Church.

So, you can conclude that my life is filled by Rugby and Church...and Church takes my Thurs to Sunday..Haha.

Tomorrow I'll be going to ISKL ampang for a rugby tournament la... I'm a bit nervous and feeling kinda inferior. I'll be playing for the RSC dingoes la...Royal Selangor Club.

My mum said I can go to Johore and be a maid for two days..haha! Come, lemme give you the context! My second sis (Mun Yoke) and my mom was on the phone and then:
Mun Yoke: Mummy, when you coming to Johore?
Mummy: Wah, you miss me so much ar?
Mun Yoke: Nola, I'm so busy...got no one to clean my room la.
Haha...Anyway, don't know how serious my mum was..LOL

Today Mun Yoke is coming back home la...So, I was tempted to make a mess in my room and call my second sis, "Hey er jie, when you coming home la?...I need someone to clean my room la" haha!...Didn't manage to do that though cause I just only clean my room just now unconsciously..haha, stuff you do when Boredom creeps into your life :>
So, I didn't do mess my room for Mun Yoke to clean loh...

Bukit Broga

Heys all, today my holiday was spent with the DINGOES :) (RSC Ladies Rugby club)

Yesterday, I tried to sleep early and went to bed at 10pm where I managed to get a 2 hour sleep but i woke up at 12am today and just couldn't go back to sleep. I tried reading an Author's profile just to fall asleep but it didn't work, then I listened to the Radio till 4.30am. Woke up my mom and she sent me to Royal Selangor Club(RSC) where I met Wei, Shima, MeiLing and Haflil. Something happened to Coach Haflil's car so we ended up pooling in Captain Wei's car.

In the car, I was stoning la...Coach and Captain asked me whether I was Straight...I wasn't really paying attention cause I was stoning la, but I managed to catch the question la although I wasn't really sure if they were addressing me. I figured out they were speaking to me la cause they were looking at me...I was totally caught off guard, I replied "What kind of question is that?"
Then Captain Wei asked me, "Do you like boys or girls?"...I replied again, "What type of question is that?"...Then they ask me again and so I said "I'm straight, I like Boys la..."

We suppose to met up with the rest of the gang at UniTen but the gang was waiting somewhere else...LOL, confused and a bit kann cheong la..Then we convoy to Bukit Broga, Semenyih. 10 Girls and Coach who is a Guy...
Started climbing around 6 am la, the whole climb took about 45 minutes la...watch sunrise and lepak there for some time. It was fun la, a bit tiring too.

Came down about 11am and went mamak la...lots of jokes and funny stuffs. During the mamak session, Coach Haflil said I like girls...haiz...Just because I didn't give a fast and sharp answer so he thinks I might like girls...Right now I'm not really looking for a BF and I am not really interested in a relationship yet la...
After mamak-ing, we balik la... I had about 3 hours to spare so I slow jog to home from RSC...it took me less than one hour :P

A special friend of mine called me today, it was so nice to hear from the friend, I really wasn't expecting this friend to call :) That friend was in Mid Valley but I was just too tired la...

Interesting choices...

Did you hear about the current incident in Malaysia? Quite interesting that these "Unplanned" attacks were on different types of churches...

Assumption Catholic church......>Roman Catholic
St Louis Church............................>Catholic

Life Chapel.....................................>Brethren
Metro Tabernacle.........................>Assembly of God
All Saints church............................>Anglican

Malacca Baptist Ch
urch................>Baptist
Sidang Injil Borneo............>Evangelical Church of Borneo
Good sh
epherd Lutheran Church......>Lutheran
Now waiting for Methodist, Adventists, Presbyterians and maybe others too.

Despite all the security tightening and police patrolling yet everyday new churches are getting fire bomb, pelted with stones, paint splashed, glass broken and yet no arrest...I do wonder if the police patrols are just for show?

What a tactic our Government is using to make Christians drop the ALLAH issue. Pressurize us by making us feel guilty and responsible for the peace of Malaysia. Very Sly and Cunning I must say! Really Clever and devious way to commit injustice loh...

Below is something I read:

PUTRAJAYA, Jan 11 — Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Jamil Khir Baharom has urged church leaders to adopt the same approach as a Sabah leader, who urged Christians to drop the claim to use the name “Allah”.

“I urge them to be wary and responsible toward peace and security in Malaysia. Other church leaders must have deep understanding of the situation and history (on the use of ‘Allah’) in the country,” he said when commenting on a statement by a Sabah Christian leader urging Herald to drop the claim for the sake of harmony and security.

The Malaysian Justice of the Peace Council president Datuk Clarence Bongkos Malakun said Christians in Malaysia should not follow those in Indonesia on the use of “Allah” but to abide by the federal constitution. Bongkos Malakun is also deputy president of the Sabah Kadazandusun Culture Association.

It's Real..haha.

Hank Snow
My mom always sings this song and I never believed it was real, I always thought it was made up by her...Well, finally today I decided to check the validity. Oh to my suprise, IT IS REAL...It EXIST! hahahaha.
It's called "I'm nobody's child" by Hank Snow.

here's the Lyrics to the song :

I was slowly passing an orphan's home one day
And stopped there for a moment just to watch the children play
Alone a boy was standing and when I asked him why
He turned with eyes that could not see and he began to cry

I'm nobody's child, I'm nobody's child
I'm like a flower just growing wild
No mommy's kisses and no daddy's smile
Nobody wants me I'm nobody's child

People come for children and take them for their own
But they all seem to pass me by and I am left alone
I know they'd like to take me but when they see I'm blind
They always take some other child and I am left behind

No mother's arms to hold me or soothe me when I cry
Sometimes it gets so lonely here I wish that I could die
I'd walk the streets of heaven where all the blind can see
And just like all the other kids there'd be a home for me

[spoken]
I just can't seem to figure out
Why the folks all pass me by
Cause I know that it's true that god takes
Little blind children with him in the sky
And they tell me that I'm oh so pretty
And they seem to like my big curls of gold
But then they take some other little child
And I'm left here all alone

I'm nobody's child, I'm nobody's child
I'm like a flower just growing wild
No mommy's kisses and no daddy's smile
Nobody wants me I'm nobody's child

NAME

What's in a name? "and ah, ME?"---> N. A. ME. or EN.E.MY? LOL
Today is a real interesting day for Christians all over Malaysia and of cause a "Defend God's Honor aka Dignity(Maruah) day" for our really gaung-ho neighbours...

The good Samaritan parable prologue:
"Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?" questioned an expert in the Law
"What is written in the Law? How do you read it?" said Jesus
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all you strength and with all your mind and Love your neighbors as yourself" answered the expert
"You have answered correctly, Do this and you will live."replied Jesus
"Who is my Neighbour?" the expert asked.
And so begin d parable of the good Samaritan...But that is another story because my blog post today is of something else.

Our Neighbours bomb the church physically today...well, at least that's what they think la. If you go back to the original meaning of CHURCH, you will realise that CHURCH actually means the PEOPLE or COMMUNITY and not a building. LoL...

In the book of ACTS...we can see that each time the early church is persecuted, the Gospel spreads.

Our Neighbours who did the bombings or JIHAD aka Holy War and may think that they are doing God a service aka doing it for God or serving God just like Saul did when Saul persecuted the Church.

Let us pray that these Sauls may see the Light as Saul saw the Light on the way to Damascus, and perhaps these Sauls may see the Light and become Pauls :P

Let them battle physically but we know that it is a spiritual warfare. So, let us fight back spiritually for we know that what is seen is temporary but what is unseen is eternal. Fight back Spiritually by fasting and praying and of cause don't forget to worship God.

"So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:18

"Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God." 3 John 1:11

"Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." Romans 12:21

Judges 19:30
Everyone who saw it said, "Such a thing has never been seen or done, not since the day the Israelites came up out of Egypt. Think about it! Consider it! Tell us what to do!"

R & R

Today I got hurt by ironing...haha. I also went out for a movie and got lost because One Utama is so not my territory O.o It was a funny experience lor :)

So, recently our country Malaysia has been in an unstable condition lor...POLITICS! That's the root of it all! More Racial & Religious issues rising up, that's R & R now...haha no more Rest & Recuperation.

The whole country changed ever since March 8th 2008. A political tsunami where the impossible was suddenly made possible! "A new dawn" according to Anwar Ibrahim...LOL

Not only our country but USA too had a mission impossible completed when OBAMA won the election. Both changes in the Politic Arena did have super side effects...

Back to Malaysia...Justice and Hope is finally rising up after being beaten down by Corruption and Discretion and thus the battle begins...The unstable condition of our country which is happening right now is part of the changing process as it is the fighting and struggling period between the four or two (good and bad).

I believe that this period or our generation is part of a significant event in History. In many decades from now, when we look back we will see that we were living in the period of transition...Just like the reformation and renaissance.
